Joan Leavitt, nee Margolis, 85, beloved wife for 65 years of Bernie. Loving mother of Barry (Esther Kusy-Leavitt), Marvin (Pat) and Judie (Jon) Olson. Very proud grandmother of Margo and Cameron Leavitt, Haley (Bryan) Bogdan, Harrison and Marissa Kusy-Leavitt and Raquel Moore. Great grandmother of Hank and Jax Bogdan. Loving sister of Phil (the late Clare) Margolis and the late Isabel LeBurkien. Dearest daughter of the late Etta and James Margolis. Joan dearly loved all her children, grand and great grandkids. She also loved and adored her many very special nieces, nephews and friends. Chapel service, Thursday , 12:15 PM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 West Rand Road, Arlington Heights.
